Now that Hillary Clinton has secured the Democratic presidential nomination, the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, has begun his attacks.
He promised a major speech in the coming week in which he claims that he’ll expose the Clintons and how they used politics to make “hundreds of millions of dollars” for themselves.
The New York real-estate tycoon hinted that he would be delivering the address on Monday and will be the first full on attack on the Clintons since Hillary won the California primary.
Trump told his supporters on Tuesday: “We can’t solve our problems by counting on the politicians who created our problems.”
“The Clintons have turned the politics of personal enrichment into an art form for themselves,” he continued. ”They’ve made hundreds of millions of dollars selling access, selling favors, selling government contracts. And I mean hundreds of millions of dollars.”
“I am going to give a major speech on probably Monday of next week. And we are going to be discussing all of the things that have taken place with the Clintons. I think you’re going to find it very informative and very, very interesting.”
Trump was sparse with the details he plans to disclose but added: “Recent polls have shown that I’m beating Hillary Clinton. And with her many problems, and tremendous mistakes that she’s made, and she has made tremendous mistakes, we expect our lead to grow, and grow substantially.”
