Under the Obama administration’s expansive interpretation of executive authority, legal immigrants seeking citizenship through the nation’s Naturalization process are now exempt from a key part of the Oath of Allegiance. Immigrants seeking to become citizens no longer have to pledge to “bear arms on behalf of the United States.” They can opt out of that part of the Oath. Nor do they have to cite any specific religious belief that forbids them to perform military service.
But, that’s not where the conundrum ends. Apparently, what many are starting to call the “traitor administration” has set its sights on ultimately allowing legal immigrants who wish to become citizens of the United States to completely go around the Oath of Allegiance, which is one of the most important aspects of becoming a full-fledged, legal American.
Instead, according to an anonymous source inside the White House, the end game seems to revolve around granting permission to immigrants to “take an oath to keep their native religions throughout the process of naturalization.” In practice, this would mean that, instead of taking the Oath of Allegiance, as generations of naturalized Americans have done for centuries, those who wish to become citizens of America could soon start taking an “oath to keep their native religions.”
As confusing as it sounds, an unnamed White House source told Breitbart News that the move is “far from” a mere stunt to gather easy pre-election political points for the Democratic Party. “I understand why that would be the initial reaction to something like this, but the truth is, everybody in the Obama administration wholeheartedly agrees that such a move is long overdue. Most importantly, everybody also agrees that it would have much more positive than negative effects on the future of America.”
“Simply put,” the source added, “the prevailing position of the entirety of the administration is that, currently, the three largest religions in the world, meaning Christianity, Islam and Judaism, are all peaceful in their roots. And since the United States consists of countless different nations, races and religions, this method is considered the best tool to remind the folks of America what they should be to each other – peaceful, caring and forgiving.”
Although common sense fuels the idea that encouraging religious differences in an already flammable environment such as the U.S. would be like adding kerosene to a wildfire, the Obama administration begs to differ. “Contrary to popular belief, more freedom tends to lead to less dissatisfaction with insignificant things, not the other way around,” the source argued. “Therefore, keeping native religions and not having to go to war for a God you don’t identify with will lead to less problems, not more.”
It remains unclear how Obama and his lackeys plan to put this plan into effect, given that they only have months left to call the shots. However, they’ve already succeeded in getting rid of a crucial part of the Oath of Allegiance. Who’s to say they won’t manage to flush the rest of it down the toilet, as well? “It’s not like we’re aiming to burn the Constitution of the United States. We just think we as a nation have evolved past some parts of it that are today obsolete. Anyway, time will tell if we were right or not,” the source concluded.
